Congratulations to Thornton Unit 1070 on celebrating its 74th Unit Birthday! This small but mighty group marked the occasion with an afternoon filled with pizza, bingo, laughter, and fellowship.

The celebration was made even more special as members also recognized Sheila Scott on her birthday. Special guests included Carol McFarland, 8th District President, and Tina Funchion, 8th District Vice President and Department of Illinois Americanism Chairman. Both joined the celebration, with Tina sharing greetings on behalf of Department President Linda Iberg.

Thornton Unit 1070 is a wonderful example of how the American Legion Auxiliary brings people together through friendship, community, and service. The unit also offers a convenient option for those who prefer daytime meetings.
