The 83rd Annual National American Legion Pilgrimage to the tomb of Abraham Lincoln will be held in Springfield, Illinois, on Sunday, February 12, 2017. This is the longest continuous running Lincoln Birthday Celebration in the United States. On behalf of the over 1,200 members of American Legion Post #32, you are invited to take part in the rich history and the fun and excitement of what is guaranteed to be a wonderful event here in Lincoln's home town.
You will have the opportunity to visit the historic sites, go shopping and eat at some of the best restaurants in downstate Illinois. This event is family oriented and there is something for your entire family to enjoy. Most folks arrive on February10th or 11th and end their stay on Sunday the 12th of February.
There are many Legion activities to enjoy as well as a breakfast honoring our National President Mary Davis and a breakfast honoring our National Commander Charles Schmidt, Be sure to reserve your tickets now-by using the order form in this brochure. (All tickets wi" be held at the Will Call Window for vou.) The 83rd Annual Pilgrimage to Lincoln's Tomb takes place after that and the afternoon ends with a Lincoln Commemoration Luncheon.
